Interactive 2010!
Thank-you very much to all those who attended and supported Interactive 2010! in Saskatoon on September 24th. Over 90 delegates were in attendance throughout the day including members from the interactive and film/tv industries as well as representatives from government and education. Many connections were made between communities and both business and creative conversations started that we know will lead to the proliferation of some exciting transmedia content being produced within Saskatchewan borders.

Through its partnership with SaskInteractive, SMPIA members receive a discount to attend Interactive 2010! in Saskatoon on September 24, 2010.
This partnership was created in order to provide the chance for SMPIA members to meet and mingle with interactive personnel while also educating the interactive community about the opportunities to work with traditional media creators on the production of cross-media content.

SaskInteractive and SMPIA are excited to announce that Panasonic will be attending Interactive 2010 on September 24th to demonstrate their 3D camera technology! 3D technology has been taking the world by storm, its images filling screens from large format movie theatres to personal mobile devices. Come, see, play and stay for lunch at Interactive 2010!
In addition, Rob McLaughlin of The National Film Board of Canada will be delivering a presentation on interactivity for audiences. The amazing and beautiful work of the NFB often serves as inspiration for artists and storytellers in all mediums.

SaskInteractive has been holding their annual Summit for the past few years with great success. This year, the event will focus on opportunities for cross-media funding and content creation partnerships and has been renamed, Interactive 2010!
Interactive 2010 features several networking opportunities including a workshop by internationally renowned cross-media expert Gavin McGarry that will not only provide information on business models but also pair traditional media producers with interactive creators to generate transmedia concepts on the fly.
