SMPIA is currently offering a three-month trial membership to all Saskatchewan individuals and companies. Current SMPIA members will receive a discounted rate at the time of their membership renewal. The trial membership application is available here.
Individual Membership
Annual Fee: $78.75
- Right to vote at general meetings
- Right to seek nomination to the SMPIA Board
- Eligible to participate in the work of SMPIA committees
- Receive SMPIA publications, bulletins, communiques and invitations to events
- Has access to SMPIA programs and services
- Eligible for membership benefits and discounts
Individual Members include: filmmakers, artists, producers, broadcasters, performers, writers, educators, technicians, crew and craftspeople, musicians, legal and financial consultants, new media developers, suppliers, exhibitors of film and video
Corporate Membership (10 or less employees)
Annual Fee: $157.50
- All benefits of Individual Membership
- Transferable representation
- Corporate recognition by SMPIA
- Eligible for corporate listing in SMPIA Directory
- Eligible for a reduced individual membership fee discount for employees
Corporate Members include: film and video production companies, sound recording companies, post production companies, television and cable stations, unions, guilds, talent agencies, equipment rental companies, and support service companies.
Corporate Membership (10+ employees)
Annual Fee: $262.50
- All benefits of Individual Membership
- Transferable representation
- Corporate recognition by SMPIA
- Eligible for corporate listing in SMPIA Directory
- Eligible for a reduced individual membership fee discount for employees

Student Membership
Annual Fee: $26.25
- Must be enrolled full-time in an educational institution
- All benefits of Individual Membership
Student members are predominantly film and video students.
Corporate Employee Discount Membership
Annual Fee: $26.25
- Must be a member or employee of a corporate SMPIA member (this includes members of ACTRA, DGC, IATSE 295, William F. White International, and any organization or production office holding corporate SMPIA membership status).

E-Buzzzz Membership (non-voting)
Annual Fee: $26.25
- Receive weekly electronic newsletter, E-Buzzzz
Associate Membership (non-voting)
Annual Fee: Free for first year
- Must be a Saskatchewan Resident
- A one-year complimentary membership that is offered to students and anyone who is new to the industry
- All the benefits of Individual Membership, excluding the right to vote at general meetings, and the right to seek nomination to the SMPIA Board
