Ryerson University’s Digital Media Zone (DMZ) is a workplace designed for young entrepreneurs, infused with the energy and resources of downtown Toronto. It’s a place where students and alumni come to innovate, collaborate and market their products and services, and where commercial enterprises can turn to for progressive and creative digital solutions.

To get into the Zone, you’ll need to have a unique idea, which has commercial or social value. You will also need to be able to show that you have gone through some business planning towards realizing your goal.

CANARIE Inc - Digital Accelerator for Innovation and Research (DAIR) Program

The purpose of the Program is to provide shared R & D infrastructure in order to make both research projects as well as new product development by small and medium-sized enterprises more cost and time-efficient. A pilot program will be in operation from May 2011 to March 2012. The focus of the pilot program is creating a highly flexible, on demand, shared product design, prototype, validation, and demonstration environment.
