SMPIA Digital Media Initiative Year 1
- held 8 digital media professional development and networking sessions including a large sold out conference with SXSW and Interactive Emmy award winners from across the country
- consulted on 37 interactive projects
- sponsored 6 Saskatchewan events that supported digital media creators
- negotiated discounts and free passes for members to attend 10 digital media conferences across the country
- delivered 10 presentations regarding digital media creation and its opportunities to students, arts organizations & cultural industry associations
- consulted on digital media program curriculum at University of Regina, SIAST and for the provincial Ministry of Education
- created a list of local interactive creators interested in partnering with Film/TV creators that is regularly used by out-of-province companies looking to outsource overflow work
- organized a tour of local companies for a national funder looking to build relationships with new interactive clients
- met with funders and leaders across Canada to advocate for support & tell them about the great work being done in Sask
- created an online resource for digital media creation

Digital Recommendations for the Saskatchewan Film/TV Industry
In January, the Digital Media Initiative released a draft of 15 recommendations for the Saskatchewan Film/TV Industry that would assist in the goal of increasing the amount of Digital Content to compliment Film/TV projects being created within Saskatchewan.
